Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out activities that are not permitted on services provided by Spanning Networks AS. It exists to keep our network safe and reliable for everyone. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Prohibited content & activity
- Illegal content or activity under Norwegian or EU law.
- Child sexual abuse material — reported to authorities without exception.
- Distribution of malware, phishing, or material that infringes others' rights.
- Unsolicited bulk email (spam) or activity that harms our IP reputation.
Network abuse
- Port scanning, intrusion attempts, or unauthorised access to systems.
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service attacks.
- IP spoofing, route hijacking, or announcing prefixes you are not authorised to use.
- Activity that degrades service for other customers.
Resource use
Shared resources (such as fair-share bandwidth) must be used reasonably. We may contact you about usage that affects others and, where needed, rate-limit or suspend a service to protect the network.
Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from our network, email abuse@spanning.no with relevant logs and timestamps. We investigate all reports.
Enforcement
We prefer to resolve issues by contacting you first, but serious or repeated violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of services in line with our Terms of Service.
